In times of increasing shares of volatile renewable energies, flexibility is an important factor for Europ. Transm. system operators (TSOs). To ensure security of supply, APG, as the TSO and Austr. control area manager, is responsible for compensating the fluctuations from renewable energy sources and ensuring the necessary flexibility needed to meet the challenges of the future. In order to meet this challenge, we turn to new decentr. technologies that support the onboarding of a large number of customers in a fast and user-friendly manner. Ideally, the new decentr. system should enable a large number of small-scale customer groups (e.g. households with PV) to take part in the Austr. flexibility market. Parallel to the onboarding of a large number of customers, an active coord. with the involved distr. system operators should take place. In this way, we will make sure that along the requ.of the system regulation, also the local system requ. will be met and taken into consideration.
